If you play Minecraft Java 1.21 and you're still pressing F3 for coordinates, replanting wheat by hand, or mining ore veins one block at a time — this short list is for you. These are the three quality-of-life datapacks we built ourselves for the 1.21 generation: tiny, free, and 100% vanilla (no Forge, no Fabric).
The F3 debug screen buries the one thing you actually need — your X/Y/Z position — under a wall of stats. HUD+ shows your live coordinates and world time on the action bar, every tick. It's a 1.3 KB pack: drop it in and forget it's there.
Farming in Minecraft is 20% harvesting and 80% replanting. Auto-Replant removes the 80%: the moment you break a crop, it replants itself on nearby empty farmland. Wheat, carrots, potatoes, beetroot — even nether wart on soul sand.
⛏ Free datapack: HUD+ (fan favorite) — live coords & time HUD, 1.3 KB, installs in 60 seconds.
The classic modded-world upgrade, remade for vanilla: hold sneak, break one ore, and the entire vein drops — with your Fortune and Silk Touch respected exactly as normal. Works on all 18 ore types including deepslate and nether ores.
Mods need a loader, updates usually lag behind new Minecraft versions, and they can't be used on Realms. Datapacks install into any world in about a minute, remove cleanly, and survive version bumps far better. For quality-of-life upgrades, that makes them the easy choice.
All three packs are free and work in single-player, on servers and on Realms. Grab them here.
